Job searchers - No place to hide
Looking for a job - with the internet, it has gotten to be an easy process, especially in a tight job market. Just post a resume on one of the popular job boards and ta da the phone rings - life is good - maybe too good.
According to ExecuNet of Norwalk, CT, executive recruiters are using the internet to search for any “digital dirt” they can find on you. You say - that’s just for the “Executives” - think again, in-house HR departments are also relying on internet to dig up any damaging information.
The solution is simple, just do a search on yourself - use a few different search engines. If you find something that you think might be a job killer, face it head on and discuss it with the company you are interviewing with. The information out there, good or bad will not go away.
