Jobs Is Sorry for iPhone Price Cut ?
First off - this is not an Apple / iPod / iPhone Blog. I may seem that way, but Apple just keeps providing us endless entertainment.
Today, Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs apologized to the folks who have already shelled out $599 or more for Apple’s iPhone. The apology resulted from the announcement that the iPhone’s retail price will be reduced by $100 to make the device available to the masses during the up coming holiday season. Who said there isn’t a Santa Claus. Just never thought Steve Jobs would be in the running.
Anyway, back to the folks who shelled out the big bucks for their iPhone. Needless to say they were upset and let Apple know. Just to keep peace in the camp, Apple will provide a $100 credits to current owners towards the purchase of other Apple products.
The other part involves the rumor that the iPhone sales have flattened out. The price drop is designed to spur sales for the holiday season.
