PayPal has recently launched PayPal Virtual Debit Card, a beta debit card program that would allow purchasers to avoid sending their personal information over the Internet. On the beta, users download and install a software program on their computers, when the software detects a website using credit card payments, the program triggers a pop-up offering the user their option of the PayPal debit account.
