More nuts

Let me preface this with last nights weather… Imagine someone pouring five gallon buckets of ice cold water on you, but instead of the water dumped on you, it is blasted sideways at you by a screaming northeast gale.
A friend called at 10:30PM and said you have got to come see this, she picked me up and we drove past Best Buy’s store that had sent fliers advertising really super sales prices on some electronics / computer goodies, i.e. an HP laptop normally $795 for $395, not a bad deal. This fine print indicated a maximum of ten per store, with similar price bargains and availability restrictions on the rest of the items. Best Buy promised to hand out 100 entry tickets a 4:00AM and open at 5:00AM.
The parking lot was full when we drove by at 10:30PM. I stopped counting (from the comfort of our warm car) at 250 people in line in this howling northeast storm. These people had tents set up, they were wrapped in plastic bags, nautical rain gear, some has three umbrellas just trying to protect themselves, then there were those with just street cloths. The parking lot was littered with torn up umbrellas, cardboard boxes, plastic bags and wrap and anything else that didn’t work to keep the weather at bay.
I just can’t imagine any bargain that would prompt me to subject myself to that punishment for seven plus hours, but then again, maybe I’m just losing my sense of fun and adventure.
