Halloween / Election Day - hard to tell the difference sometimes…
Dave Pell of daveneticsBlog, reported on a referendum intended to take the fun out of lapdancing in Seattle.
I’ll quote Dave directly since there is no way of improving on Dave.
“Lapless in Seattle
The hottest race of the day could be a proposed Seattle law that would take the lap out of lapdancing.
The proposed law would include the following regulations:
- The four-foot rule. A performer and her patron must stay at least four feet apart.
- The library rule. Lights must be turned up to the brightness of a typical office.
- The cash-in-a-cup rule. A patron cannot give money directly to a dancer or wiggle it into her underwear.
I’ve been to book club meetings with less uptight rules.”
Sadly, the Washington Post, reports, that passage of this referendum may cause some unwarranted discomfort as reported by a 19-year-old blonde who calls herself Cali, who is making contingency plans. A college sophomore studying communications, Cali pays the $25,000-a-year tuition at Seattle University with earnings from a club.
“If they pass the four-foot rule,” she said, “I’ll probably just have to go to community college.”

Good news for Cali - she will not have to lapdance any professors at the community college. the referendum was defeated
